I am currently unable to add new users to the active
directory. When I click on Finish on the add new user
screen the application freezes. A few minutes later I get
a message that the lsass.exe has terminated unexpectedly
with status code -536805372 and the system reboots. I can
find no explanation to this error code anywhere. Anyone
have advice?

Many thanks.

Doug,

Can you get us an extended error? Maybe by creating the user using LDP, then
ldap_get_opt(LDAP_OPT_SERVER_ERROR) or something like that?

Thanks!
~Eric

Thanks for your reply Eric!!

Never used the LDP utility but I will give it a try. Any
last minute advice on using this utility?

Just to clarify: that might be the issue so long as you are on SP4. Doug,
are you running SP4?

Yes, I am indeed running SP4. So, I contacted support got
the hotfix and ran it. Voila, I was able to add one
user. Problem is that was it. I am back to the same
problem except now there is no automatic reboot - the
application simply hangs. I am getting some timeout error
messages in the event viewer such as:"Timeout (30000
milliseconds) waiting for transaction response from SamSs
service" plus the exact entry for the PolyAgent Servce,
NtLmSsp Service, NetLogon Service and kdc service. All of
these timeout.
Any suggestions????
