Lsass.exe or Isass.exe?

All of a sudden, while my computer was in screen saver mode, it went to
reboot and said something to the effect of saying direct the computer to a
boot drive and hit any key. I did that and upon rebooting right at the log
in screen I received a "system shutdown" message (see:
http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyclo/default5.asp?VName=WORM_SASSER.A
- bottom example). Now I can not logon even in Safe Mode. And the Windows
XP install disk will not run. No matter what, I get the same "system
shutdown" message. (It also mentions a status code of 1073741819.) I have
searched the internet on how to fix the problem and found nothing about
fixing the problem when I can't access the harddrive. So, I removed the
harddrive from the computer and installed it into another computer as the
slave harddrive and ran several virus scans of the slave (Norton, TrendMicro,
Spybot, Ad-Aware, Microsoft Removal Tool, etc.) but nothing was found.

I even copied the Lsass.exe file from the master harddrive to the troubled
slave and then reinstalled the slave as a master back into the original
computer, but I get the same "system shutdown" message and the system reboots
in 60 seconds.

Does anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?

Thanks in advance...

I think I got it fixed using the Windows XP installation CD and doing a
repair on the system.
