Is there a eject option when you right click the drive in explorer? Will it
eject after a reboot ? Maybe the outer button is not hitting the inter
actuator. Or maybe it took a dump! Jym

Yes. It'll eject from within explorer. The external eject button works under
Windows 95/98 but not under XP.

If you don't know what an LS-120 is then why are you wasting everybody's
time by posting irrelevant messages?

If the LS-120 is formatted with NTFS then the eject button will not work.
Same problem exists with ZIP drives when the format is NTFS. I think it's by
design.

But the LS-120 is DOS formatted, I believe.

Hmmm. Did it ever worked? It's possible that Windows XP may be doing it even
on non-NTFS formatted drives. I used to have the LS-120 long time ago but I
do not recall if I had the same problem. Anyway....I found the LS-120 to be
too slow and too unreliable so I changed to ZIP drives.

Yes. The LS-120 worked fine under Windows 95/98. The button worked fine.
It's just under XP that it doesn't. I can't remember if it works under
Mandrake.
Agreed: LS-120s are very slow. I have no problem with reliability though. I
tend these days to make a CD rather than to use the LS120 as anything other
than a 3.5" drive. It takes 15 minutes to fill an 120MB LS120 whereas it
takes 5 minutes to do a CD of 700 MB, which is also more universal.
