Under Tools, adjust the audio source level. You can also adjust the sound
for each clip. Select a clip, then go to Clip on the tool bar and select
audio. You will need to adjust each clip.
 
You can also right click on the clip on the storyboard and select "Volume".
In my experience the adjuster is very sensitive; the best way to adjust it is
to put your cursor on the adjusting lever until it highlights and then use
the left/right arrows on your keyboard. This way you can adjust it in small
increments in a controllable manner. Don't adjust it too high or you will
get distortion.
