low virtual memory

Here lately I keep getting the message that my system is
low on virtual memory. Could anybody tell me how to fix
the problem? If it matters, I have plenty of free disc
space, so its not like my hard drive is full.

Hi,

Virtual memory error, I have had that even with 512mb
ram. Try ending tasks you do not need. Maybe a program is
hogging all the memory
