Hi,don't know if I am at the right place but I am having
trouble and need to know what to do........When I start
up AOL,something pops up regarding low on virtual memory?
How do I correct this and what should they be set at? I
would really appreciate any info on this...TIA

no you shouldn't need more memory, just change the size of
virtual memory. Thats the disk acting as memory. you
should increase it to at least 2-1/2 times as much as your
physical memory.

This is using win2000
Click on the following tabs in order
start.settings.control panel.system.advance.performance
options.change then enter the size as I recommended.
so if you have 256megs so 245+256+128= 640megs
and be sure and do a defrag. you must also have at least
15% of your hard drive empty to accomplish a full defrag
---Good luck--- ;)

We really need to have the complete *verbatim* text of the error
message in order to be able to give you the correct advice as to how
to fix the problem.

There are several factors that can produce an error message that
mentions virtual memory, including a couple of known instances where
the message is false, caused by something entirely different.

Read MVP Alex Nichol's article on virtual memory in Windows XP at
http://aumha.org/win5/a/xpvm.htm especially the section dealing with
problems.

Good luck
