Is it possible to rejuvenate a 10gig hardrive with a few error clusters

by doing a Low Level Format, and if so what programs would I need

to do the job........

Regards

It's worth a shot. Check on the HD manufacturers website. They probably have
a utility to download.

Either a very expensive diagnostic or the drive manufacturer's
diagnostic. I had some old 200M Maxtors that would keep going bad
every 1-5 days after a $400 HD diagnostic was used, but after running
Maxtor's formatter on them they stayed good for at least 6-12 months.

Maxtor: www.maxtor.com
Western Digital: www.wdc.com
Seagate: www.seagate.com
IBM/Hitachi: www.hgst.com
Fujitsu: www.fujitsu.ca (easiest to find diagnostic at Canada site)

Just find the website for the manufacturers drive and try to download
a utility to write zeros to the first part and the entire drive.
Sometimes this really helps.

This rewrites the first 512bytes and allows you to set up the drive
again.

Thanks Heaps Guy's,

I'll try all that you've suggested.

luv ya all......
