I installed a fresh version of Vista RC2, loaded the missing 3com and
Soundmax drivers, installed AVG v7.5 anti virus and ran Windows mail setup
with my usual account.
There were approximately 545 mail messages to import from my account. After
about 300 messages imported Vista was running very slowly. Eventually an
error message came up "Low memory - shut down some applications to
continue". Looking at the task manager, the mail application was consuming
some 1.8GBs of my 2.00GB available RAM! Even when I closed down the mail
application there was still insufficient memory to run any other
applications.
This problem didn't seem to occur in RC1 and earlier betas as I recall.
