i keep getting "Low Disk Space" message. My D drive is down to 300MB from
6KB. How do it increase space, delete things. I'm not sure what in the
world is filling it up and don't know where to look. I've deleted cookies,
temporary files, got rid of unnecessary programs, etc. Also ran Virus and
removed some weird things, but nothing has increased space. What do I need
to do?

You are getting 'Low Disk Space' warnings because you have inadvertently
saved data to your recovery partition. Remove what you have saved and the
warnings will disappear..

Click on Start>Computer> you see all the drives/Partitions there.
Or, Start>Programs>Accessories>Windows Explorer>Expand it 'til you find it!

Defragging does NOT free up disk space.

It attempts to put files in a contigous sequence!

I've done this and under "D" is 2 files, one under my name and it is an empty
file and the other says Recovery and when you click on it, it warns you not
to empty the contents. Even if I wanted to delete there, I don't even see a
button to do so. What else do you think I could do?

You remove the file bearing your name. That will free up the space and the
warning will go away..
