When I play music on the computer and the sound is turned
up, the event sounds (i.e. buddy in or out ), is so much
louder. How can I turn down the event sounds without
turning down the music too?

If you're playing an audio CD you can. If you're playing an mp3, wav file
then you can't.

Event sounds are stored as wav files. Double click on the loundspeaker icone
in the system tray/taskbar. You have one slider for wave/mp3 files and
another for CD audio. Push the wave/mp3 slider down when playing an audio
CD.

Cheers,
Jerry
