As you can see I'm not that satisfied with Vista.
I just bought a new Asus Notebook. The Notebook has a integradet webcam. I
downloaded Msn because I want to do live-chats.
After installing Msn it worked once. When I tried to start it agian nothing
happened.

Than I thought: well ok lets try Skype. Skype starts but the cam does not
work. When I start a conversation only the micro works. The cam does not
react.

I even had Lifeframe ... preinstalled. It worked a frew times. One day I
tried to start it but there was only the starting frame. Nothing more
happend. I even couldn't stop it.

Now I don't know what to do and how to go on.
Please help! :(

Katja,

If you haven't already done so, download and install all the updates
available at the Microsoft update site. Those updates can include fixes, so
it's always a good idea to install them. Just a good starting point in
troubleshooting.

You are one of quite a few people who have posted about problems with
Asus laptops. One of those posters reported that Asus has a BIOS patch
which solved his problems. Go to Asus's website for your specific model
laptop and get the BIOS update and see if that helps. If you don't feel
you can do this yourself - and there's no shame in admitting this isn't
your cup of tea - either speak to Asus tech support and have them walk
you through it or have a local professional update your BIOS for you.
Don't use a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.
