I use norton sys. works pro 2003 to monitor downloads
from the web. I was downloading a program and in the
middle of it I was'nt sure about it and cancelled it.
After that I stopped norton from logging. Then I decided
to go ahead and download the program anyway and norton
logged it. When I took a look at the log I noticed that
the program was downloaded twice, files and all! I did't
think the first time logging went through because I
cancelled it as it was downloading. But norton did log
it. Now I have 2 of the same program. I thought that if
you download anything and aready have it that you would
get an overwrite message from windows or, atleast get a
notice that you already have it. Is it just windows xp
home that recognizes duplicates but not norton? And could
it be that only norton has 2 of the same program and
windows only has 1? Also, is there a fix for duplications
that I can download and use? Thanks if anyone can help!
