I have installed SQL 2005 on a new machine and cannot find any of the
client tools I am used to having: query analyzer, enterprise mgr.,
profiler. Shouldn't they be included in a default installation if I
chose to install client tools? Where do I go to find them?

If you chose installing client tool, you should have gotten "SQL Server
Management Studio" installed.

Which version did you install? SQL Server Express by some chance?

SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2005 Express? If Express, the latest
incarnations include the management tools (basic), but the first versions
out of the gate did not and required a separate install.
