I have WinWord and Excel installed on my computer for years, just
recently I started getting a message "This application must be installed
to run. Please run setup from the location where you originally
installed the application" I can no longer find the CD and I have no
idea what caused the problem or when the problem occured. Need Help!!!

Hi,

You will need to find the CD to perform the necessary repair installation.

Just a WAG, but did you reinstall WindowsXP?

No, I didn't reinstall WindowsXP, the only thing I installed recently
was Windows Installer Cleanup Utility. Surely, a Microsoft program
wouldn't cause these problems, would it? 8-[

Hi,

No, not that I've ever seen. In any case, you'll still need to locate the
disks. If you bought them retail, you may be able to use the process here:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=326246

If they came with the system, then you would need to contact the
manufacturer.
