Hi Carey,

Just tried the undo but i still can't get the windows xp
theme, although it is listed [just displays the classic
theme]. Do you have any other ideas on how to fix?

Cheers

Nik

Go to Start > Run and type: SERVICES.MSC , and hit enter.
Scroll down to "Themes", right-click on it and select Properties.
Then select startup type as "Automatic" and click on "Start".

Hi,

One more idea, right click on "My Computer" and select properties. Flip to
the advanced tab and click on settings under performance. Make sure there is
a check beside "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" is checked.

Last time i personally i had this problem, i too tried all the steps but
nothing worked. Strangely, a simple restart did the job !
