Hi All,

the data in the column, Is there a way to get that data back?

I tried changing it back to text and reopened the database, but still dont
see the data

Only from your backup. I'm sorry.

I didnt have a backup.. But I guess I will have to input all the data
manually. Luckily there wasnt much data but It will get big as time goes.

Is there a way I can auto backup my database every night?

Thanks in advance

Bummer, but these things happen.

That depends. Is your database normally closed at night -- no users in it?
Is it a multi-user database, or is it just you who uses it?

If the database is closed at night, you can presumably schedule a system
task to copy the database file and make a backup copy. That copy would
probably not be valid if there were somebody in the database when it ran
(though it would still be better than nothing).

Sam,

FWIW, I put a button on my custom toolbar that when you click it,
backs up the database. Database backup is one of the standard items
and not a macro or anything extra. (Only one person at a time is ever
using the db, so that may not work for you if you have many users at
the same time.)

You can even put a reminder on the Startup Form or even one that pops
up periodically as the database is being used. "Back Me Up!"

The same way you're backing up all your other data.

If you're not, then your data must be completely worthless.

Or you're not too swift.
