Lost system restore again

Hi. Sorry to have to ask this again, but I have no restore dates anymore
(again).
Not too long ago, someone sent me to get a patch for this, but I don't
remember how I got it. I have Windows ME, and tons of problems. (I'm the one
who lost her sound and no one knows how to figure that one out, and now my
"viewer" is gone so I can't open any pictures to view.) I think I'm going to
upgrade to XP, but for now tho, my concern is getting the restore to
actually have restore DATES! As always, thanks for any help at all!
Everyone's been so great to me on here, even though I'm an amateur!
