My print Shop has become unavailable to me, after using
it with no problems for many years. Started with print
Shop 11, then to Print Shop 12..Bought 15 but uninstalled
it right afer I bought ot and went back to Print House 12.
I sucsessively used it 2 months ago..Now about 5 days ago
it disappeared. I cannot reinstal it as the same pop up
comes up..saying it cannot open file Smackw32.DLL.
I have searched out that file..no help. Have been on with
Tech help 3 different sources..no soplution.
I want those old files in tact ! I have been downloading
updates with you..and think this may be the cause???
I am desperate, have been working on this four days !

Doris, you're in the wrong newsgroup - this is for Windows XP embedded
(which is a special version of XP for creating Kiosks, ATMs, Set-top Boxes,
etc.

However, if you search for "Smackw32.DLL" in Google it says that you can
download the file and put it back. See:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?smackw32. Now I don't
know what version of the file you need - but you can try this one to see if
it works. Put it back in C:\Windows\System32

See also
http://www.liutilities.com/products/wintaskspro/dlllibrary/smackw32/. It
states there that it can be a common problem for the file to be missing.

The file seems associated with computer games. It's not on my system - but
then there aren't any games (how sad!). Hope this is of some help. For
info my Windows 2000 Professional PC was built around 2 years ago and has
had several service packs, loads of hotfixes and updates, and not once have
I ever had a problem with it - uncle Bill's update system seems to work just
fine (ouch! please don't hit me - I know some people may have had a few,
minor problems).
