Lost Shortcut menu

I have suddenly lost my form/report design view control shortcut menu. That's
the one that pops up if you right-click on a control in design view. It
offers such things as fore color back color, change to..., etc.

I've tried repairing Access, uninstalling & re-installing it. I even opened
the Customize... dialog box and checked the shortcut menus. The menu is
there, but it's empty and won;t even take commands that I drag to it.

I really miss the Change To... selection for changing a textbox to a combo.
But I can't even find that command to add it to a toolbar. I could live with
that.

What happens if you go into customize, select the shortcut menus item (don't
check it) and hit Reset?

Is there a possibility that you went into Tools, Startup and unchecked Allow
Shortcut Menus?

Thanks for replying. I tried the reset while it was selected. I'll try your
suggestion of resetting it while unchecked and post the result.

My startup properties are all set to "allow".

I tried resetting the shortcut bar when it was unchecked. No luck. I guess
it's gone for good.
