Lost several custom views in contacts (Outlook 2003)

For some reason several, but not all, of my custom views in my Contacts
disappeared. Any ideas why this would happen and how to get them back short
of redoing them?
 
Usually this means that the forms cache was emptied, which can be done
through tools-options, or frmcache.dat was deleted
 
It is still there and hasn't been changed for 2 weeks based on its date,
even tho this problem just appeared in last couple of days.

 
The file will recreate itself if it has been deleted, so are you referring
to the views under the custom views options?
 
One other point - I looked in tools|options and could never find where this
can be done. Can you pin-point it for me? Thanks.

 
My mistake, we were talking about custom views not custom forms, I just

Yes, for contacts. If it recreated itself it was sometime before this
problem appeared.

 
No problem. Thanks for chimming in on this one. It is a puzzler, especially
since some of my custom views still are there. If they were all gone I would
have guessed a file got deleted and reset to the default.

 
forms cache has nothing to do with views.

Normally, when you lose views, it's all or nothing, not just a few. Do they
use the same name as other views?
 
No, they were all unique. They were not hard to reproduce since they were
each basically the same view but for different categories. However, it just
puzzles me why I should have lost them. I converted from 2k2 to 2k3 a couple
of weeks ago and had no problem with the views then. Haven't added any or
changed any until this problem showed up.

Anyway, problem not solved - just overcame it.
