I just received a new machine and was moving files over then deleting the old files from my machine. Somehow during this move my *.pst file did not make it... This file contains over 200MB of critical client data I must have to do business. I have downloaded several recovery tools (R-Studio and others) to my new machine and scanned the old machine over the network. None of the tools can find my deleted *.pst file. Is there any other ideas out there.....

How about accessing the hiberfil.sys. My system did go into hibernation the morning before I started deleting files.

Folks I am really in trouble here, all help appreciated.

I suppose I shouldn't ask why you didn't make sure your
files were successfully transferred to the new computer
before deleting them from the old computer.......

Well yes that is a very interesting question... Since I have only done this a few dozen times in my life, you would think I would have this process down to a science.

Bottom line, I did backup my old files onto CD-ROM's. The PST file was the only file that did not copy over. I guess I logged out of Outlook during the copy and the pst file was in use at the time. This is one of those HUGE screw ups that I know to prevent. Those 14 hour days just catching up with me......

It claims to recover pst files. use the trial version to find out what's up.

you might need to turn on the option to view hidden files and folders then
search again!
