I recently ran the auto update from October 11, 2006. When the update was
completed I had lost all users on this machine with the exception of the
Administrator. Email accounts need to be reconfigured and I can't find my
contacts. The desktops are also gaone. Has anyone else experienced this? Is
there a way to back out the update?

Steve,

I also seem to be having problems after an auto update last weekend.
My PC keeps going into Standby mode even when I am using it and I also
noticed that my IE favorites are now pointing to a different location.
I fixed that by copying them out of old location, but not sure what I
can do about the constant Standby problem (see my posting of 10/14/06).

Thanks. I also got a suggested solution from Dave Patrick which I still need
to work on. What concerns me is that I am seeing all kinds of issues being
reported after the last update yet Microsoft hasn't posted anything
recognizing there is a proble.
