I had made a post on 11/8/2006. I had been checking for replies. I can no
longer find my post, but have found several older ones. The subject was:
vcard-information changed after sending. I have seen a few more recent posts
with similar but not exactly the same problems. How do I get my post to be
listed again so that someone can try and help?

Have you tried google.groups?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact.

After furious head scratching, Melissa asked:

Seems to indicate that the message doesn't exist. However, there appeared
to be a response on November 12, allthough the rspondent didn't quote the
original message.

The only way to get it relisted is to repost it, it seems.

I did check groups.google. I found two of my three posts this way. I found
the same two posts searching through the message group. I know it was posted
because I checked on it for a month or so and when you click on my name for
user information, it states that I have posted three times (this will be
four).

This really is a side issue to my original problems with v-cards. I just
wanted to know why my question got "lost."

There are any number of reasons why this would happen, the simpest being
that newservers only hang on to messages for a limited period. Perhaps you
posted from a server that has a shorter retension period.
