I just recently noticed that My Pictures folder no longer seems to function
as a pcitrue folder. I cannot view the folder as thumbstrip view, nor do I
have the picture tasks in the left side task pane. I have tried restoring
from the System Restore, with no luck. Does anyone know how to get this
back? Incidentally, I just recently purchased a Canon A80, I don't know if
the zoombrowser software has anything to do with this.
Thanks,
Lance Marrano

Skuggestion: Try going to TOOLS,FOLDER OPTIONS,and click
restore DEFAULT, APPLY and close.
Its easy and wouth a try.

Right click on the folder name, click on Properties,
Click on Customize tab. Select Pictures for the kind of folder you want.

Sorry, that didn't work. Any other ideas?

I don't have the customize tab. Does that help with any other ideas?
Incidentally, I have checked the settings in the registry under
HKEY_CurrentUser/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/ExplorerShell and
it properly points to the right folder.
TIA,

Try this:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

Nope sorry. I have already associated the files with the Windows Image and
Fax viewer.
Thanks,
Lance
