lost photos

I have loaded xp onto my system but all the photos I had
in 'my documents' are gone. Does xp wipe this folder
clean upon installation?

What kind of installation did you do--upgrade or clean?
 
always...............a l w a y s............ backup you important
files.......when YOU perform such a task.....
 
I too lost all of my documents on an upgrade install. Is there any way to retrieve them?
