A file has been moved and I am having a hard time finding it. It is a
Frontpage file and it was saved, but when I do a search I am unable to locate
the file. Are there any other way to do a search any help is appreciated and
the file was created recently.

On your local machine or remote server?

If local use the Windows Search to fine it then use FP to open the web it is in.

It is my local machine. I did a search (several searches):
START
SEARCH
Still couldn't find it. Does Frontpage have an option that keeps up with
its own history?
Being that I didn't send my files out into the world yet is there a way that
I could go back to like a day that I last saved, like if I wanted to go back
to last Thursday, because I haven't saved anything since I haven't been able
to lose this file?

If you deleted it, then it is gone.

FP doesn't make backups.

How did you loose the file?

Well I didn't delete it.
It happened Friday when the designer was up here on my computer showing me
some things and she loaded another website onto my computer to edit as well
and when she did she was moving so fast that she dragged and dropped some of
my current files into another file and then she started scrammbling around
looking for files and I told her that she dragged it over there and she went
and got it, don't get me wrong shes good and knows her stuff, but she is
always on the go, so when she came in she had somewhere else to be and I
guess wasn't paying attention. She even made it seem like I screwed it all
up and believe me I was burning up inside. Anyway I was so frustrated with
her that I didn't work on it anymore Friday, but when I came in on Tuesday
after being off Monday, I could find it and I had it that previous week
because me boss and I reviewed it, now he is going to look at me like I
insane.

Have you checked Recent documents??

Click the Start button, scroll up to Documents and see if it appears in the list that
appears
If it shows, right click the entry in the list and select Properties. It should show you the
path to the file.

Also, have you looked in My Documents > My Webs??
That's the default Save for FrontPage if a web location is not specified.

Crystal, if you think it might still be on the website, open the site in FP
and try the Reports view (such as on the daily hits list). You can sort these
lists by date. Good luck.

I've had no luck guys, I think that we will just work out something else here
in the office. I'll design the overall look of the pages in Photoshop and
she can gather the information and make the web page look as close to my
pages as possible. We thought this would be easier, but its NOT.

Thanks again,
Crystal

would the file be on the server by any chance, if so then just publish it
down to your machine.
