Lost my verticle toolbar at bottom bunches up icons on bar, how do I get it
back to default? Desktop icons are fine

There's a bar running horizontally at bottom of screen in Windows XP. In the
lower left corner it says Startup. The icons that used to show up on the
right side of the bar horizontally are now bunched up and arranged verticley.
How can i get that startup toolbar or whatever it is back to default? thanks
Dorothy

Do you mean that it says "Start"? That bar is called the "Task Bar."

Next to the clock? That area is called the "Notification Area," or
informally, the "System Tray." It contains icons for programs running
in the background.

Sorry, I don't understand this at all. Please describe precisely what
you are seeing?

Are these all for the same kind of document?

Right click the taskbar and choose Properties.
On the Taskbar tab uncheck Group similar buttons.
