Lost my "Safely Remove Hardware Icon" on Task Bar

Within the past two days I noticed I no longer get the "Safely Remove
Hardware" Icon on Task Bar when I plug in USB drives. The Drives work
fine, but I don't know how to insure it is safe to remove them.

How can I get that icon back.

Have you clicked the arrow to expand the notification area?
