My daughter was trying to create a new account on my
computer and inadvertantly lost my administrator's
account - so therefore, all of my
documents/files/pictures, etc. are gone - does anyone
know how to get this back please please please help
me?????????

Hi

I have a similar/ the same problem. I had no accounts set
up on my notebook as I am the only one using it. So have
all my docs etc under the inbuilt admin account. My
sister stayed over deceided to "organise" my stuff for my
so created new account therefore after rebooting I cant
access anything under the orginal admin account cept in
safe mode. Ahhhhhh I cant delete the new account cs afer
one has been created there always has to be a account
with admin status.

Does that all make sense?

I despairately need to access my docs ect before starting
back at school on Monday (I'm a teacher) and therefore
having a major stress attack.

Someone please help me...

I'll bite, why do you think it's gone? You have to give
details. Which account is gone, your account with adin
status or the inbuilt admoin account.

Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the welcome screen twice for a normal logon. Attached file add admin onto the Welcome screen.

An admin can always take ownership of objects (even if they don't have permissions otherwise) - it's what makes em special. Type it in help.

You'll need to access these groups correctly to see the file
