In error I deleted a mail folder and it does not appear in Deleted items.
However when I do a search on the machine I can find the missing folder
but I do not know how to restore it back into the mail.

Its location from the search appears to be under the windows mail
application judging by the names of the other folders in the area.

Hi,

I know you posted this problem a long time ago and may have already found
the answer. I did the same thing today and posted a question for the
community but after I did that I looked to see if anyone had a similar
problem. I came across your problem and did a "search" and was able to get,
not my folder, but what was in it back. Here's what I did:

First, I inserted a "New" folder in my WM folder list. Then.....

I did a "Search" by clicking on the bottom left MS Start button by typing in
the name of the folder I deleted. Then the info popped up. I then double
clicked on each item that was there (there were 3 items I had in my folder).
After clicking on each individual one, the message was revealed and I then
clicked on "Message" (on the top) "Forward" and then an email form popped up.
I emailed that info to myself. After doing this to all the 3 items I had
and they appeared in my Inbox, I dragged them to the new folder I made and
everything seems OK now.

I hope this helps.

If there are eml files under the directory, then create a new folder and open it to show the empty message list and then drag the eml files overtop that list and drop them and they will get incorporated into the folder.
