Can anyone help?!
I just got a new computer with internet explorer 6 on, which gave me all
sorts of problems with the text size overflowing screen boxes, and jumbled up
writing.
A wizard friend suggested I delete the program and download affresh from the
website -
But perhaps because I haven't got int. explr. on my machine, all I can seem
to do is load SP1 or 2.
I need the whole program.
At one point I seemed to be there, but then I got an error message telling
me my machine already had a later version of Internet Explorer already
installed. But I haven't, cos I deleted it (I know , I know, not such a good
idea in retrospect!) I feel a prat and don't know where to go from here.

if you used the Add/remove program applet in Control panel you didn't delete
it at all. All you did is to remove the IE icons from your menus (READ the
dialog boxes when you do things - it tells you that's what it does). Just go
back there and re-instate the menu items.

Assuming WinXP, if you apply SP1 or SP2 you will install the whole IE.

Thanks Gordon
I knew that but somehow couldn't figure out how to get back to where I
started.
Your reply sorted me - now its time to study XP a bit more carefully
