Good day,

My son, in trying to vanish a virus, has deleted the
majority of the Internet Explorer files. All that is left
is the file containing the Connection Wizard which
meracously replicates itself and will not allow IE to be
totally cleared to allow a new download and reload of IE 6
once again. We continually get "a newer version is already
present on your computer" and the reload is discontinued.
There is no IE6 present although there is something that
causes this miscommunication which I believe is the
Connection Wizard. I thought perhaps I could manage without
IE6 but unfortunately a good many programs require IE4 and
newer to opporate. Is there a way to download and
re-establish IE6 or is a complete system overhaul required?

Thank you for your time and consideration to this simple
inquiry.
