I run a small home network with 2 XP client machines
coinnecting to the internet via an ME server.
Suddenly one on the clients lost all internet
connectivity - Browsers don't work, Outlook doesn't
work, IMs don't work ..
The ither client, and the server seem fine though.
I have checked the connection settings and they are
exactly the same as the settings on the client machine
that works properly ..
And I can ping the server successfully ...
Although when I try and ping past the server I get
a 'Could not find host xxxx.xxx' message.
We checked in the settings and when we request a page
from the browser, data appears to be sent from the
client machine, however, nothing ever comes back.
When I check with the server it tells me that all
three machines are using the internet connection ...
I am at a loss where to look next?
Reinstall internet connection sharing across the
network?
Reinstall windows on the affected client?
Maybe just bang my head against the wall a bit more?
Rebuild windows on the affected client?
