Hi,

My PC with wins 2000 Pro worked without issue up until recently when I lost
my internet connection. I have proved that it's the PC as other PCs connect
without issue. I can connect and use IE in Safe Mode but can't when running
normally.

I have check the network properties and all are set correctly and match
those on the other PCs.

Someone at work has suggested that a driver is failing but I checked the
processes running in Safe Mode and these are also running when running
normally.

Will uninstalling and reinstalling IE or drivers help? If so, where are the
files and how do I do this?

Thanks, Rob

Can you ping a public IP? If yes, can you ping yahoo.com? If you can't ping the public IP, check the router; if you can't ping the yahoo.com, check the DNS settings. Or this step by step troubleshooting may help,

Robert, web site looks useful, I'll work my way through step by step.

I also have a dial up option in networking which works as does IE when this is active so I'm thinking driver failure or corrupt file - what do you think?

Or posting the result of ipconfig /all here may help.
