LOST HISTORY

I no longer have history of web sites visited. When
history is viewed, the screen displays several folders,
all beginning with MSHist followed by several numbers, and
an index file. Also, a desk top note top - note pad file
is displayed. If I click on the index file, a message is
displayed advising me that another program is currently
using this application. I am currently using Internet
Explorer 6.0.

Error Message Text: c:\windows\temp\hisstory\history.IE5
\index.dat
"Another program is currently using this application."
System Details: (ActiveX control did not load after 60
seconds)
