I need to recover my GPT file in a DC win 2000 . I don`t have a backup.
Does anyone could give some help.

Are you referring to the gpt.ini file or something else? Do you have more
than one DC? IF so, then check to see if the missing file is on a replica
DC.

Thanks for your atention Darren. I am working in Win 2000 dcs (native mode).
It happened that for some reason I couldn't get access to my Default Domain
Policy in my dc( got Denied access) and by mistake, I dropped it and all dcs
replicated last change.
In the event viewer there's always a message error that states an state code
error number 1332 every five minutes.
I don't know what to do.
I used lots of tools as gpotool.exe but it only verifies the mistakes but
not help to repair them. I got a backup but it's too old.
In the event viewer there was an error Event Id: 1202 that described a
possible solution but it asked me to look for in
%Systemroot%\Security\templates\policies\gpt*.*, but I didnt' find any gpt*.*
only a file called tmpgptfl.

Maybe you could know of some tool or procedure to apply in this cases.

If you're saying that you actually deleted the Default Domain Policy, then

Thanks Darren but how could I manage to solve the errors of the event viewer,
do I need to reset them (I mean erase them all??)

Well, the first thing you have to do is make sure you have a default domain
policy GPO linked to the domain and a default domain controllers policy
linked to the DC OU. That error usually results when you've set security
policy, usually user rights assignment or restricted group policy, to a user
or group that no longer exists in the domain. The error occurs every 5 min.
because that is how often DCs refresh their Group Policy settings. In and of
itself, the error is benign, but should be fixed to keep the event log
cleared. You fix it by simply removing the reference to the deleted user or
group from the security policy where its being set.
