I had to purchase a new computer recently and had to switch from XP to Vista.
The data conversion did not include my Front Page 2000 program so I have no
way to access and edit my website cereated with Front Page 2000.

What do I do to get Front Page 2000 loaded on my new computer? Or will a
later version of Front Page work just as well?

To install your FP 2000, you would need the original discs to install. Data
conversion does not install programs.

FrontPage is been discontinued, the last version being 2003, and has been
replaced by Expression Web, which you could purchase. Or, you could
download the free SharePoint Designer from MS, which is quite similar to FP
2003.

You will need your original CD and serial number of FP 2000 to install on your
new system.

The latest version is Microsoft Expression Web 3 and it will definitely install
and run smoothly on Windows Vista. I suggest download a trial version of
Expression Web 3 from Microsoft Website. The link is here:

<http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=0a73a3a7-3e06-4125-b3c6-f9c10387e9cc>

The minimum RAM requirement for this install is 1GB so if you have less than this
then you will have to increase your RAM before you can install it.

Thanks for your reply. I no longer have the CD or serial number. Will The
Expression 3 be compatible so that I can use it to edit my existing website
created on Front Page 2000?

Suggest you have a look at
http://expression.microsoft.com/en-gb/dd326841.aspx which goes over the
changes between FrontPage and Expression Web, and how to bring your site
into standards compliance.

A FrontPage 2000 website can be opened directly in Expression Web, and most
of what you have will be supported. But, a very big But, FrontPage
navigation is not supported - what you have will not be broken, but FP
linkbars cannot be edited in any way. The above pages show an alternative.
