Lost folder

The company I work for recently updated their servers and we all had to syncronise to our trees close to the time when they began transfering to the new servers. We then had to log back in with a new password with the help of one of our IT personnel

I had a My Documents folder that I never synrconised because it had all my personal data in. When I logged back on I had a completely new My Documents folder and none of my data was in there.
I have not deleted from my laptop. Can I get it back and if so How?

Use your backups of this important files...ooopppsss.....you didn't make
backups....I bet you will from now on....
