i set up the guest user profile and placed a folder on the
desktop for easy access to document files.

upon rebooting, i am unable to find the folder in either
the guest or the administrator user profile.

i have set the view folder types to show all hidden files,
and I have never deleted the folder. i can not find the
folder in recycle bins either.

where is the folder??? how do i restore it so it is
accessible as before?

thanks

Hi Edo,

Changes made by Guest profiles are deleted when the user logs off. For more
information see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base Article:

KB169144 - Changes to User Profiles Are Not Saved
http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=169144

If the folder must be restored, immediately stop using the hard drive the contains
the data and research Data Recovery solutions.
