Help! My system crashed and the repair shop added a new
C: drive and renamed my former drive as D:. I have
reloaded all my applications including MS Outlook 2002
onto C; drive. The problem is that I cannot find all of
my Outlook personal folders and address book on the D:
drive to copy to the C: drive. I'm running XP Pro, and
have tried every kind of search. Is it possible for all
these folders and files to just disappear?

The default location is in C:\Documents and Settings\.....etc in yr case
D:\.........
Yr search included 'show hidden files'?

Yes, I searched hidden files. I checked out the proper
default location on the D: drive. It did show an Outlook
folder, but there were no files in it? This is a mystery
as well as a calamity. I even tried Norton Utilities to
see if the files were erased in error, but this didn't
work either.

I could not find any .pst files to recover. There are
none to be found on the D: drive. The mystery here, is
how could this happen? Norton unerase does not show them
as deleted either?

When the repair shop added a new HD, they also installed the OS?
Does the D drive have any faults? bad sectors etc.
Do yo think they tried to recover the pst files? or import into OE
Are all the Outlook folders in yr D drive empty? they should'nt be
Other than that ........?
