Does anyone know how to view a previous version of a
powerpoint file. I have a 60 page presentation that was
almost finished then somehow I saved it without the notes
attached.
I want to get to a version I did last week. Any help would
be wonderful.
Desperately,
Josh

Do you have a backup of the file you were working on last week? In other
words, if you did a Save As at some point using a different name, you
should be able to open that. If you just did a "save," I'm afraid it's
all there in the same file.

Regarding the loss of notes, this can happen especially in PPT 97 if you
save while in Notes Page view. Switching to normal "edit" view before
saving helps prevent this.

You might want to check into Shyam's "sequential save" addin as well so
that you always have a previous version of the file available.

Josh, I don't want to sound stupid, can't you just open it back up? Do you know where you saved it to? You can open it, and reinsert your notes, no problem. Then resave it again. You can work in notes master as well, which is in view, master.

Desperately,

If nothing else works, try this:

Open the .ppt file in Word. Choose the Recover text from any file option.
Maybe, just maybe, your notes are in there. If this works, please post back
and let me know, OK?
