I was online and trying to update the Microsoft security
patch and the instructions asked me to put the Microsoft
Office SR-1 disk in. I don't have that disk, so I
cancelled the operation and the udpate "failed."
However, when I went offline again and tried to start
Excel, I found that I can no longer access it; a message
says that I have to insert that same Microsoft Office SR-
1 disk (which I don't have). Microsoft was installed on
my computer when I bought it last year and the only disk
I have is the "Reinstallation CD Microsoft Windows XP
Home Edition Including Service Pack 1" disk-- I don't
know about reinstallation disks-- I am afraid that if I
put it in it will re-install everything and I will lose
all the information already on my Office programs. What
should I do? I'm in the middle of a project and need
Excel back-- immediately!
