Hi all,
I have a very strange problem with an outlook configuration of one of my
customers. It seems, that the emails of the customers POP3 accounts are
beeing downloaded but they never arrive in outlook's inbox. I tested this
several times by observing the POP3 servers inboxes via Web-Interface. After
pressing Outlooks Send/Receive button, the emails seem to be downloaded.
(The disappear from the POP3 servers inboxes)

I tested all Outlook settings but everything seems to be correct. The
customer told me, that everything worked fine before.

Is anybody able to give me some tips?

Thanks a lot in advance

Do a search with the advanced find options for the messages to see if
they are being moved somewhere you don't expect.

Just an idea, have you examined tools->message rules?
Maybe you have a rule to delete this customer's messages as they arrive.

I had the same idea, but the customer said, that there are no rules defined.

But now, I found the solution: The customer uses th latest outlook version
(outlook 2003). Beside the well know "rules", this version has a new feature
for detecting Junk-Emails (i didn't know that before). This feature has the
ability to directly delete mails, that are treated as junk mails. So the
mails were downloaded, but never arrived in a folder.

Many thank for your tip.

Michael
