It's not entirely unusual for me to complete an entire one-page document for
a client before saving, but that's because it often takes me that long to
figure out what the filename should be. I have one client who faxes me
letters to be typed, often without any address information except "Dear
FirstName." From the context of the letter I can usually figure out who
FirstName might be and then save the document as LastName, FirstName Date in
the appropriate (alphabetically divided) subfolder in his Correspondence
folder. Ordinarily, though, I make it a practice to save within the first
five minutes (and often such a letter takes less than five minutes to type).

Hmm, that's an "objectivist" attitude -- it takes responsibility for
its own mistakes, but it won't help you with yours!
(I never forget to Save after the first sentence or so ...)
