I clicked on the DHCP manager to make a reservation, and the shortcut could
not find the file. I said "Fix" and now my DHCP shortcut takes me to a
security applet.

Is there an easy way to get this back (I can copy the file off of another
machine running DHCP if I have to),
(also, where does it go, what is it's name etc...)

Does anyone know how this could have happened?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Try:

C:\WINNT\System32\dhcpmgmt.msc

Or you could run mmc, add the snapin and save the console.

The file isn't there!?!
I will try to track down a copy of it...

Thanks,

right click my computer and hit manage

the dhcp settings should be in there if it's win2000 server

I forgot to write you back, I pulled the MSC file off of another computer
and loaded it up. I then had to rescan and connect to my DHCP services. It
worked, but it lacked finesse...

Thanks, if it happens again I will try your solution.

just a quick easy way to get to "computer management" which has a lot of
managing capabilities (imagine that) lol

just like <windows key> and <break> will take ya to system properties
