Tried to upgrade my SDRAM from 128K to 512K and HPPavilion 502n went unstable. Re-installed the original 128K stick and now the hardware is not recognized. Device driver is empty. Where do I go and how?

Hello
HP has a built-in repair installation partition that you can do a repair
from reboot your computer and if that doesn't fix your problem then reboot
again and when the blue HP screen appears start tapping the F10 key and that
will take you to the repair.

I believe the 502 is one of the models that support this repair.

That model only supports PC100 SDRAM with a total of 512mb

THANKS SO MUCH! After days of trying various methods of getting the PC to operate (hours on hold with HP, talking to sales people at store where RAM was purchased, etc. etc.), without success, YOUR advice was the answer

I think at this point I am going to return the SDRAM and stick to the original 128K that was factory installed

Again, thanks for your valuable assistance
