I created a contact using the "new Contact" icon. I also created an
additional with "New Contact from same company" Both we gone when I
looked for them this morning.
The main (first contact I have entered before, and his listing has
disappeared before. However yesterday I re-entered it and a
co-worker. They were gone this morning.
I also created a few other contacts, from a different company
yesterday, using both methods and they are still there, fine and
usable.
I've been using Outlook for ten years and have about 1000 contacts,
but this is bizarre.
Could I have set a sync by accident someplace that's deleting the
entry?

There have been nor reports of Contacts simply vanishing for no reason.

You'll have to do some troubleshooting. Did you perhaps create these
Contacts in a different folder or a different profile than the one you
are
looking in now? How did you create these Contacts?
