Here's the scenario:
1.Previous version of Outlook used just for Calendar and Contacts
2.Outlook upgraded to 2002.
3.Opened the original Outlook.pst file and noticed that Contacts folder was
completely empty after upgrade
3.Calendar came over with no issues. Calendar folder contained items from
previous version of Outlook
4.Noticed that Contact info was all in the Deleted Items folder. (Not sure
why.) This seemed a result of the upgrade process.
5.Started to move the deleted contacts to the Contacts folder, but canceled
the process because I felt more comfortable copying the items, in case
something went wrong with the moving process.
6.Thinking that some contact items would be now be the contacts folder and
the rest still in the Deleted Items folder, I clicked on the Deleted Items
folder to start the coyping process to the Contacts folder
7.No items appeared in the Deleted Items folder; no items appeared in the
Contacts folder.
8.All Contact items appear to be lost
Not sure why the upgrade process moved the Contact items into the Deleted
Items folder, or why when I cancelled the move process from the Deleted
Items folder to the Contacts folder...that all contact data dissappeared
from both locations.
The archive.pst contained no current data, so I couldn't use that to restore
the contacts. I think this data is completely lostl, but is there a way a
way to recover this?
Help!!!!!
