Lost contacts and calendar in upgrade

I had office XP installed in my laptop and bought and office 2003 professional upgrade
when i did the installation, i select complete intallation insted of upgrade. when i finish the installatio
process, all my old contacts and calendar where gone. is there a way to recover those, i didn't had any backup

Then Outlook simply created a new PST file. Just search for your old one
(*.pst) and open it to find your data. Make sure you search for hidden
files.
