lost cd key question

Can you get the key off of the install disk? Can you call MS and get it from
them? windows xp pro. Thanks

No, and no. If your XP is a OEM version the Product Key will be on a tag on
the case. If it is a retail product, and is now working OK you can find your
Key by going to www.aida32.hu and downloading AIDA32, the Enterprise
version. It is free, and will tell you your Product Key plus a ton of other
good info about your system.

The Product Key is not on the CD at all.
If windows XP is still installed:

Otherwise, if Windows XP is retail, contact Microsoft:

If Windows XP is OEM, contact the seller, Microsoft can not help.
